What is Herbal Medicine? Herbal Medicine is a natural, safe and highly effective form of treatment in the prevention and management of health problems in both adults and children. Phyto-chemicals contained in plants, are the active ingredients in herbal medicine treatments. Modern pharmaceutical medicines are synthesized based on isolated compounds of these phyto-chemicals. Herbal medicine does not isolate these phyto-chemicals and it is the use of the whole plant which counteracts side-effects which we find in pharmaceuticals. What is Naturopathy? Naturopathy is better described as a philosophy rather than an individual therapy. A naturopath uses many different natural forms of treatment such as flower remedies, biochemical tissue salt , homeopathy to name a few. What to expect Following a detailed consultation, a treatment plan is uniquely tailored to the individual client which includes detailed advice about diet, possible nutritional supplements and other naturopathic and lifestyle advice. A herbal prescription will be created using top quality, medicinal strength, herbal tinctures formulated for the individuals need and specific constitution. Herbal teas, powders or creams may also be prescribed. Phone 086 2526879 Facebook Healthy By Nature Cost for consultations: €75 for initial consultation 1-1.5hrs €50 for follow ups 45mins. Prevention is preferable to cure. The root cause of dysfunction is identified and treated not the symptoms. The whole person is treated - physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. Health is much greater than just absence of infirmity. It is abundant vitality. The Person is treated, not the disease. The individual is unique, each person responds in a different way. All disease starts with a disruption to the body’s homeostatic mechanisms and health is a return to balance of these mechanisms. |
